• Member Care

What is member care?

Strictly speaking, member care covers everything that this platform is about – training, encouragement and support for fieldworkers in every stage of service, that is before, during and after their time on the field. It has been described (by the late Dave Pollock originally) as a Flow of Care covering these three phases – from recruitment, through on-field service to retirement, if you like. So, as you will appreciate, this encompasses a great deal!

If you are someone who is responsible for member care in your church or organisation, hopefully you will find resources here to help you.

However please note, it’s not all about what others provide for us. As fieldworkers we are also responsible to build our own support ‘eco-system’, laying hold of all the means that are available to us, as the diagram here shows.
